IMPERIAL COURT TEA CEREMONY

at the

BASS MUSEUM OF ART

Sunday, March 25, 2007

MIAMI BEACH, FL (March 26, 2007) - Members and friends of the Bass Museum joined H.I.H. Princess Thi-Nga of Vietnam for a fine tea sampling and introduction to the rituals of an Imperial Court Tea Ceremony. The Lydia and Burton Harrison Cafe was transformed into an enchanting Imperial Palm Courtyard, complete with trees and exotic flower arrangements. The tables were impeccably finished with china and fine cutlery. Guests were served tea promptly at four o'clock, along with samplings of fine Asian sweets and delicate cakes. Princess Thi-Nga shared rituals and history of Imperial Court Tea Ceremony, and guests shared personal stories of memorable rituals of their own lives.

The event included a private presentation of the Imperial Jade Collection by H.I.H. Princess Thi-Nga of Vietnam of her private jade collection.
