I. Printed Materials
The Museum’s PR and Marketing Department must approve the content of invitations, posters, and promotional materials prior to printing, mailing and/or distribution. The use of images of the museum’s building or artworks in any publicity or marketing materials is strictly prohibited. All promotional events such as Press Conferences, Concerts and Special Events that will draw media attention must be coordinated with the Museum to ensure that the media coverage includes the Bass Museum of Art in an appropriate context. Violations of this policy may result in the cancellation of said event. Please contact the Museum’s PR and Marketing Department at 305.673.7530 extension 2001 with questions regarding publicity and printed materials.
Photography permission will be determined on a case-by-case basis, since each exhibition has its own photo restrictions. The User may take photos/videos of his/her event for personal use, however the Museum’s art collection and exhibitions may not be reproduced in any form to be used for commercial use, such as in brochures, advertisements, etc. without written consent from the Museum, artist(s), and/or the Rights and Reproduction Department – 305-673-7530 ext. 1007. If the User’s intent is to use the art as backdrop for photography, video, television or film production, this must be approved in writing by the Executive Director. This written consent will serve as an addendum to this contract.
III. Decorations and Signage
Signs, banners and balloons may not be placed outside of the building and may not be affixed to or cover any art object, Museum signage or Museum walls. All equipment and décor, to include, but not limited to, plants, floral arrangements, audio/video equipment, lights, and signage must be removed immediately at the conclusion of the event.
