PRESS POLICY GUIDELINES

Thank you for your interest in the Bass Museum of Art. Our policy for press is as follows:

For those contacting the Bass Museum of Art for the first time, please submit the following documentation:.

Staff Journalists
Journalists and editors working as paid staff at magazines, newspapers, websites, radio programs and television programs should submit press identification and a supervisor’s contact information at least 24 hours in advance to secure an appointment.

Freelance Journalists
Freelance journalists on assignment should submit a letter of assignment and an editors' contact information 24 hours in advance to secure an appointment. Freelance journalists without a specific assignment should submit 4-5 articles published within the past 12 months in mainstream publications that carry the journalist's byline. Submitted by-lined clips must be presented a minimum of three days before any appointment will be scheduled.

We do not provide additional entry for family members or guests of journalists. Those journalists who have worked with the Bass must contact the Marketing and Public Relations Department prior to their visit.

A member of the Bass Museum of Art staff must be present to escort all members of the press through exhibitions and any other areas of the facility.

In addition:
  • Interviewing guests or visitors to the Bass Museum of Art is prohibited within the Museum itself unless prior approval from the Director or Public Relations Director has been granted

  • All requests for interviews with administration and staff of the Bass Museum of Art should be made in advance through the Marketing and Public Relations Office and will be granted only after providing required documentation referenced above and press identification.
