The Bass Museum seeks to inspire and educate by exploring the connections between our historical collections and contemporary art. This dynamic mission offers contemporary artists the rare opportunity to explore our collection and create new installations that give the public insights into how artists mine the past to make work that addresses the human condition in the 21st century. In addition to our exhibitions, we also accomplish our mission through our educational programs. I am pleased to announce that in January 2012 we will be officially inaugurating our Creativity Center, which will feature hands-on activities for multiple age levels. Visitors will be able to drop in with their children and make art inspired by our collection and exhibitions. It will also be the location for pre-school classes, student exhibitions, and a variety of teacher workshops, art history lectures and art classes offered for older students and adults.
I encourage you to follow my twitter account as I post about the museum and a whole lot more: @GLLJunior
Sincerely,
