We are happy to announce that Kathleen Gilje’s work Het Pelsken, Restored will be exhibited May 11 – September 8, 2013 in the exhibition Revised and Restored: The Art of Kathleen Gilje at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut. The show will offer a brief overview of Kathleen Gilje’s satirically pointed and technically adroit reincarnations of iconic Old Master and nineteenth-century paintings. The work from our collection is based on Peter Paul Rubens’ Helena Fourment (“Het Pelsken”), 1636/1638 located in the Kunst Historisches Museum in Vienna.

A catalogue of the exhibition will be available through the Bruce Museum.
