the bass museum of art resumes its hot nights cool jazz series for 2012

The Bass Museum of Art resumes its Hot Nights Cool Jazz series, a celebrated locals destination for culture, conversation and music. Beginning in June 2012, the concert series will feature some of the best contemporary Jazz artists in South Florida.

Friday June 15 | 7-9pm
Performers: Jason Hainsworth Quartet

Saxophonist Jason Hainsworth will perform with piano, upright bass and drums. Concert will feature both original compositions and jazz standards in a swinging, modern jazz style

Friday June 29 | 7-9pm
Performers: Brian Murphy Trio

The Brian Murphy trio, consisting of Murphy on piano, John Yarling on drums and Chuck Bergeron on bass. The will be performing both original materials and selections from the American Songbook.

Friday July 13 | 7-9pm
Performers: Fernando Ulibarri Quartet

Guitarist/composer Fernando Ulibarri will perform with a quartet consisting of piano, bass, drums and guitar. Original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards will be showcased that evening.

Friday July 27 | 7-9pm
Performers: Gary Campbell/Mike Gerber Duo

Two of the most respected musicians in South Florida, saxophonist Campbell and pianist Gerber will be performing both original compositions and jazz standards.
