IDEA@thebass Family Day: Portraits! – Try your hand at creating your own self portrait.
Last Sunday of every month, the whole day is FREE and IDEA@thebass family day activities are from 2-4pm. These creative afternoons are full of exciting activities for the whole family: art projects, scavenger hunts, preschool art station, free prizes, snacks and drinks.
IDEA@thebass family days are made possible through the generous support of John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
Also, South Pointe Elementary will be exhibiting their “Young Master’s” artworks in the Lindemann Family Creativity Center (this Sunday only).

Children’s Book Reading & Signing | Taplin Gallery | Sunday March 25, 2012 | 2pm
On Sunday March 25, 2012 at 2 PM, during the free IDEA@thebass Family Day at the Bass Museum of Art, Ms. Barbaralee Ross will present her charming children’s book about Harry Barry Brown, a starving artist who created colorful Easter eggs.
Ms. Ross has designed the book to challenge young readers to use their imagination by illustrating scenes from the story. As they draw and color, the children will discover what it takes to become an artist.
Families may purchase copies of the book, with the proceeds going to the Bass Museum of Art’s education scholarship fund.
Barbaralee Ross taught high school English and Humanities for twenty-four years has been a talented docent at the Bass Museum. She has edited six textbooks on Special Education.
