IDEA@thebass presents a series of innovative teacher workshops throughout the year. Teachers may register through the district for professional development credits. The themes of the workshops vary according to our schedule of exhibitions. Trainers include nationally certified teachers in visual arts and language arts. Lesson plans cover a variety of subjects including: global education, math, science, and social studies. Teachers will learn about the Design Thinking approach as they discover new ways to stimulate emotional responses and generate critical thought processes in
their students. Students will have the opportunity to take action and seek solutions by experimenting, exploring art media and solving design challenges.
